The Phoenix Business Journal is proud to announce another outstanding class of up-and-coming business leaders in its annual 40 Under 40 recognition.

Each year, we honor 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are having a major impact in the Valley’s business community through their careers as well as impacting the greater community.

The honorees come from a range of industries. They are innovators and instigators of change. They are entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. They have founded nonprofits and undertaken endeavors for the greater good that will help the community for years to come.

One of the notable traits of this class, as those before it, is the honorees’ community involvement that stands out. Their work goes beyond the 9-to-5 world and affects many.

This is the 16th year the Business Journal has honored young business leaders through the 40 Under 40 program. With the 2016 class now chosen, the total number of honorees has grown to nearly 650! Many of those previous honorees continue to make an impact in the Valley.

Judges had their hands full this year with more than 400 nominations submitted for the program.

As in the past, the Business Journal will produce a special 40 Under 40 publication that profiles the individuals honored. We also post expanded stories, more photographs and fun personal facts about each of the honorees online.
