VanTrust Real Estate bought about 80 acres of land in Glendale after seeing the explosive growth in the Loop 303 area for industrial development. Now the company has landed a fairly well-known tenant for the West Valley facility: Inc.

Amazon will have a sortation center at the development, and Kansas City, Missouri-based VanTrust is developing an additional 550,000 square feet of speculative space at the project near Maryland Avenue and Sarival Road, Keith Earnest, executive vice president of national accounts for VanTrust said. The company is also developing the Tucson facility for Amazon, which is VanTrust’s first project in Pima County.

And Earnest said he won’t be stopping there.

“We are actively searching for additional land in Maricopa County, and we are hoping to expand in Pima,” Earnest said.

Like many other developers that develop different types of commercial real estate, VanTrust’s project pipeline is much more weighted toward industrial, a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
