Hospital Campus in Buckeye Ready to Start Construction

Abrazo Health plans to break ground in the coming weeks on its promised 27-acre campus in Buckeye, which is directly across the street from a hospital campus proposed by Banner Health.

Abrazo Health, owned and operated by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC), plans to start with a 3-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building for the first phase of development on the 27-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Interstate 10 and Verrado Way.

Dallas-based Cambridge Holdings Inc. will develop the medical space on land Abrazo bought for $9.7 million in December 2021. Leasing will be provided by Transwestern’s Phoenix office.

“The medical campus in Buckeye is a long term, multi-stage project that is starting with the medical office building,” said Keith Jones, spokesman for Abrazo Health. “Planning is ongoing for future uses that will include an acute-care hospital. Surveyors are on site now and equipment will be moving dirt in the coming weeks.”
