Hospital Campus in Buckeye Ready to Start Construction Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on November 15, 2023 Abrazo Health plans to break ground in the coming weeks on its promised 27-acre campus in Buckeye, which is directly across the street from a hospital campus proposed by Banner Health. Abrazo Health, owned and operated by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC), plans to start with a 3-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building for the first phase of development on the 27-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Interstate 10 and Verrado Way. Dallas-based Cambridge Holdings Inc. will develop the medical space on land Abrazo bought for $9.7 million in December 2021. Leasing will be provided by Transwestern’s Phoenix office. “The medical campus in Buckeye is a long term, multi-stage project that is starting with the medical office building,” said Keith Jones, spokesman for Abrazo Health. “Planning is ongoing for future uses that will include an acute-care hospital.
