Mattress manufacturer MLILY is slated to open a factory in metro Phoenix’s west side, bringing 300 jobs, by the end of the year.

The factory, planned for Cotton Lane and Thomas Road in Goodyear’s rapidly growing Loop 303 business corridor, will be the Knoxville, Tennessee-based company’s second U.S. factory, it announced Thursday. While it’s slated to open this year, it won’t be fully operational until 2021.

“The additional capacity will allow us to maintain our growth trajectory, and continue to fulfill the growing demand for domestic-made mattresses, crafted by American workers,” MLILY USA President Stephen Chen said in a statement.

The nearly 644,000-square-foot facility will open as part of the Palm Valley 303 Business Park near the forthcoming Fairlife milk production and distribution center, which is also planned near Cotton Lane and Thomas Road.

MLILY will produce mattresses and mattress toppers, as well as springs and memory foam, at the Goodyear site.
