Phoenix-area law firm Faith, Ledyard & Faith has started construction on an office building that will include the firm’s new West Valley location in the fast-growing suburb of Goodyear.

The law firm, based in nearby Avondale, is developing the Goodyear Professional Plaza, a 25,773-square-foot office building at the northwest corner of Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue.

Attorneys and partners Michael Faith and Paul Faith will own the building, and their law firm will occupy half of the top floor. The firm is expected to lease the rest of the space to business services and medical professionals, the city of Goodyear said in a press release.

Other recent development in the area includes two new hotels and several shops. A medical office is slated to begin construction late this year, the city said.

The city of Goodyear, located roughly 20 miles west of Phoenix, is also developing Goodyear Civic Square, which will include a new city hall, library, community park, 100,000-square-foot office building and parking garage. The project, developed with Scottsdale, Arizona-based real estate investment firm Globe Corp., is expected to open next summer.

Other projects started this year include a luxury apartment complex and several industrial facilities. More than two-thirds of the roughly 16 million square feet of the industrial properties scheduled to be finished in the next few quarters in greater Phoenix is in Goodyear and other Southwest Valley cities, according to CoStar.
