Rankin Real Estate LLC is the latest firm that’s working on plans for a future business park in Goodyear near Interstate 10. The Scottsdale-based company has applied for rezoning and a general plan amendment for a 270-acre site to allow for a mix of uses including commercial, office and industrial, called I-10 Citrus Gateway. The general plan amendment is scheduled for Goodyear’s planning and zoning commission meeting on Dec. 4, followed by a vote at the commission’s Dec. 10 meeting and a City Council vote on Dec. 16. Wendy Riddell, a land and zoning attorney for Berry Riddell LLC, is representing the applicant. A rezoning case associated with the property is expected to be voted on at a later date. The overall property is located between Roosevelt and Van Buren streets along the MC 85 highway, just east of the city of Buckeye.
