A local investor bought the Days Inn & Suites Scottsdale North in Scottsdale, Arizona, and plans to renovate and rebrand the property as a boutique-style hotel to take advantage of the increasing number of entertainment and tourism options coming to the Phoenix suburb.

Scottsdale-based Andre Golnazarian paid $6 million, or $127,659 a key, for the 47-room hotel on 6 acres at 7330 N. Pima Road across from the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick stadium complex, according to an Orion Investment Real Estate broker who negotiated the deal.

The property is within walking distance of numerous entertainment options, including Great Wolf Lodge, iFly, Octane Raceway, Medieval Times, Salt River Fields and Talking Stick Resort and Casino, with Tiger Woods’ Popstroke Golf slated to open this year, Orion broker Zack Mishkin said.

“The buyer plans on keeping the property as a hotel, renovating and rebranding it and running a fun, swanky boutique-style hotel,” Mishkin said.
