What’s that 19-acre complex being built near Loop 101 in north Scottsdale? Article originally posted on AZ Central on September 11, 2025 Location: 7550 E. Legacy Blvd., along the northern block just east of Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. Description: Construction of a large multifamily project called Legacy North Apartments at Crossroads is underway. The Dinerstein Companies, a Texas-based developer, is building the nearly 19-acre community in north Scottsdale’s burgeoning Loop 101 corridor, where the 120-acre master-planned development called One Scottsdale is also being built out. When complete, Legacy North will comprise three-story buildings and include 443 housing units — 335 designated for apartments and 108 set aside for townhomes. The apartments will include a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, while the townhomes will be built with three bedrooms. Residents will share and enjoy a host of amenities and open space areas, including a dog park, a pool, a clubroom, co-working space, and a fitness building that features a gym and a yoga deck. And with views of the McDowell Mountains, the complex will also have a public multiuse path along the northern edge, allowing hikers and bikers to connect to nearby Thompson Peak Park. History: Dinerstein initially pitched its project to the city in July 2023, kicking off a series of revisions. In January 2024, Scottsdale’s Development Review Board greenlit the development, allowing the company to break ground. When will the work be done? It’s unclear when the project is expected to be completed.
