Arizona Cardinals to build $200M HQ, practice facility in north Phoenix Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on September 30, 2025 The Arizona Cardinals unveiled plans Tuesday for a new corporate headquarters and training facility in north Phoenix at the intersection of the Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road. Cardinals owner and president Michael Bidwill revealed that the National Football League franchise worked behind the scenes with Minnesota-based real estate developer Mortenson to acquire 217 acres west of Scottsdale Road and north Loop 101 for $136 million earlier this year in an Arizona State Trust land auction. Prior to this revelation, it was only known that Mortenson acquired the land. The site the Cardinals now own is considered one of the last prime undeveloped sites in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and was at one point considered as a landing destination for a National Hockey League arena, before the Valley’s former NHL franchise, the Arizona Coyotes, was sold and moved out of state. The new facility will move the Cardinals from Tempe, where the team has been officing and practicing for more than 30 years.
