Plans for the $1 billion development of the former CrackerJax site in Scottsdale could move forward if they are approved at a city meeting this week.

The Scottsdale Development Review Board will vote Nov. 20 on the first phase site plans for The Parque. Building elevations, lighting, landscape and phasing plans have been recommended for approval by city staff.

The Parque’s first phase will include 690,968 square feet of restaurants, retail, fitness and housing situated on a nearly 28-acre site that was once home to the CrackerJax amusement park at 16001 N. Scottsdale Road. The park previously had a go-kart track, mini golf, volleyball court and an arcade.

Also as part of the first phase, 159 units will be built within two residential multifamily buildings — an 89-unit apartment building and a 70-unit condo building, the Phoenix Business Journal previously reported.

Billionaire George Kurtz bought the former amusement park land for $55.5 million in 2022.

The Parque is being spearheaded by Kurtz’s FalconEye Ventures alongside development partner Premium Point Development, which is owned by Steven and Shawn Yari, co-founders of real estate firm Stockdale Capital Partners.
