What national retailer will have a huge Buckeye distribution center? Article originally posted on AZ Central on April 21, 2026 Location: MC 85 and Broadway Road in Buckeye Description: A national, off-price retailer is constructing a 2 million-square-foot distribution center that’s expected to bring thousands of jobs to the southwest Valley. Burlington, which sells clothes and home decor, will have an automated facility with smarter sorting systems, enhanced work stations and custom software to streamline daily operations, according to a news release from the company. The enhancements help get merchandise to the stores more quickly so customers can find something new every time they shop, the release said. Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn called the project an “employment hub” that will bring meaningful job opportunities to Buckeye and its surrounding areas. “With thousands of positions, it gives our residents the chance to build careers closer to home and spend less time commuting outside the city,” Orsborn said in a statement. He added that the location of the build would kick off additional growth “along a key corridor” for the city. “Investments like this are critical to strengthening our local economy and moving us toward a future where Buckeye is not only a great place to live, but a place where people can work and grow as well,” Orsborn said. Greg Shultz, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer of Burlington, said it was important that the company’s supply chain infrastructure grow and evolve.
