$90M luxury car garage project revs up in north Scottsdale Article originally posted on on September 8, 2026 A $90 million luxury car garage project is moving full steam ahead in north Scottsdale, as numerous similar projects in the area take shape. Demolition is set to begin Sept. 9 on the former Fender Musical Instruments Corp. headquarters at 17600 N. Perimeter Center Dr. to make way for Finish Line Auto Club’s first Arizona location, just four months after the company acquired the 10-acre property for $20.7 million. “We’re really looking to attract that collector and enthusiast that’s looking for a real legitimate experience and community built around their hobby,” said Tony Principe, Finish Line Auto Club’s co-founder and principal. The demolition process will take about 30 days with an anticipated groundbreaking for the beginning of November. Once construction starts, the project will take approximately 18 months to be completed, Principe said. The 140,000-square-foot luxury car garage development will include six buildings, including a four-level, 21,000-square-foot clubhouse with a coffee shop, meeting rooms, a rooftop lounge and more amenities to be announced. The property will also have “high-end security measures” in place. “The clubhouse that we’re building will be more in line with a five-star hotel or resort/private club than it is a car storage facility,” Principe said, adding that Finish Line Auto Club’s architectural design, finishes and amenities are what make it stand out from other Valley car condominium properties.
