Here are a few such projects currently being built in Phoenix. Viridian Camelot Homes is building a new gated housing collection called Viridian along the southern block of Bethany Home Road at 14th Street, near north-central Phoenix. Inspired by the midcentury architecture of the surrounding neighborhood, the new development will include eight overall lots, with two floor plan options. Each home is two stories and includes three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and a two-car garage. The development is estimated to be completed by December 2026, according to Camelot. The Henri Toll Brothers Apartment Living, the multi-family arm of the national homebuilder, is building a seven-story, 313-unit luxury apartment complex called the Henri in downtown Phoenix, just across from The Van Buren. Located off Van Buren Street, along the north side of the block between Fifth and Sixth avenues, the mid-rise rental community will comprise a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. According to Toll Brothers, the apartment complex is expected to open this fall. Monroe Street Abbey The Monroe Street Abbey, a new event venue, recently opened at the site where the historic First Baptist Church in downtown Phoenix once stood. Located at Monroe Street and Third Avenue, the nearly 100-year-old church was restored after being severely damaged in a 1984 fire. It’s since been restored, reopened and now managed by Phoenix-based Steve Short Culinary Team. The Abbey has begun hosting weddings and events, The venue has a full production kitchen on-site where food will be prepared for events. While the interior courtyard is the main attraction, the building also has an interior balcony and fully enclosed bookable space that can also host events.
