A 410,000-square-foot shopping center in Buckeye remains under construction despite projections that estimated construction would be completed by mid-2025. Primrose Schools will open its 14th metro Phoenix location in Surprise by the end of 2025. Surprise will also see a multipurpose complex, expected to house eight tenants, open by the end of 2025. Here’s what West Valley residents should know about the projects. Buckeye Commons in Buckeye Situated south of Interstate 10 along Verrado Way, the project Buckeye Commons is under construction. The shopping center is anchored by Costco and will include other tenants like Panera Bread, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Over Easy. It’s one of several major commercial developments in the area next to Verrado Marketplace, north of Interstate 10. The first stores were planned to open in mid-2025, but it is unclear when construction would be completed. Primrose Schools daycare in Surprise Primrose Schools, a private preschool system run with franchise locations, is under construction in a commercial shopping center at Litchfield and Waddell roads. Primrose Schools offer daycare, preschool and pre-kindergarten programs for children starting in infancy and ranging to after-school programs for children up to 12 years old. The school is expected to open in late 2025. Multipurpose complex in Surprise A 114,495-square-foot industrial building will house offices, a warehouse, retail and manufacturing spaces. The building, located at West Bell Road and 134th Place, has space for eight tenants. One unidentified tenant signed a lease. It is expected to open in September 2025.
