Crimson Canyon shifts plans for Buckeye industrial park after KORE Power exit Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on April 1, 2026 Developers have shifted around some plans for an industrial park in Buckeye near the former KORE Power site. Scottsdale-based Crimson Canyon was planning to build out a 112-acre industrial park at the southwest corner of SR 85 and Rooks Road. After finally getting needed entitlements back in 2023, the project, originally dubbed Rooks Technology Park, is back on track with some tweaks. Crimson Canyon just acquired the final parcel for its project, which will now sit on 74 acres and include about 1 million square feet of industrial space across either two or three buildings. The developer purchased the final 38-acre parcel for its project on March 24 for $8,267,000, according to real estate database Vizzda LLC. Crimson Canyon originally intended to build out five buildings to cater to vendors for KORE Power, which was planning to build a $1 billion lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant across the street. But KORE Power nixed its plans for that project early last year. At the end of last year, KORE Power’s former 214-acre site ended up selling to Phoenix-based Tratt Properties for $32.5 million. “KORE power was an upside case, where if KORE came to fruition, we could definitely leverage off their facilities and build the ecosystem around there, but we weren’t dependent on it,” Dominic Alba, a managing partner at Crimson Canyon said.
