Vantage Data Centers recently held a topping out ceremony for the second phase of its campus in Goodyear.

Denver-based Vantage Data Centers has made significant progress on the second phase of its planned campus with the recent topping out of its facility in Goodyear. For several years, Vantage has been working on developing a campus that’s expected to total about 1 million square feet across three buildings with an overall 176 megawatts of capacity for potential hyperscaler and cloud providers.

Last fall, Vantage started construction on the second and third buildings at its campus following the completion of its first 32-megawatt building on the overall 50-acre site that’s located at 45 S. Bullard Ave.

The facility is Vantage’s first Southwest campus and its largest in North America, and it’s expected to generate 3,000 jobs between construction and technology, according to the company.

“We appreciate the City of Goodyear welcoming us into their community, as well as the investments that the state of Arizona is making into sustainable digital infrastructure,” said Simon Casey, vice president of construction at Vantage, in a statement.

The second phase of the more than $1.5 billion facility is expected to deliver in the spring of 2024. McCarthy Building Cos. is the general contractor while other construction design and trade partners on the second phase include Corgan Architects, Rosendin Electric, Southland Industries and Amfab Steel.

“Phase II of the Vantage Data Centers’ Arizona campus is an exciting expansion within the Bullard Tech Corridor,” said Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo in a statement. “The presence of data centers in our city serves as a catalyst for economic growth, bringing significant investments and valuable job opportunities.”
