Developer Plans to Add 1,500 Multifamily Units to Peoria Commercial Center

Developers want to add 1,500 residential units to the Vistancia master-planned community’s new commercial core in Peoria.

Current zoning for Vistancia only allows a maximum of 10,500 residential units overall but the site’s master developer is asking the city to increase this number to 12,000 units for more new apartments.

The additional housing would be located in the planned 320-acre commercial center, known as Five North, that’s slated for a variety of multifamily, industrial, retail and more, just west of Loop 303 at the southern portion of the 7,100-acre Vistancia project — located nearly 40 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.

The 1,500 additional units would bring the total allowed units for Five North to 1,900, according to city documents. The maximum height for multifamily development within Five North is 85 feet.
