Documents filed with Mesa’s Planning and Development Department show that the proposed Cannon Beach Hotel would be a four-star, five-story, 148-room hotel property that is intended to be the signature hospitality component of the Cannon Beach development, which is located at the southeast corner of Power and Warner roads in Mesa. The Cannon Beach Hotel will feature a signature restaurant, meeting and event spaces, an outdoor pool and an experiential lobby area, according to documents filed with Mesa. Cannon Beach is a 60-acre surf park with a lagoon at the at the southeast corner of Power and Warner roads in Mesa. Besides the water park, there are several retail, restaurants and other family entertainment concepts on site. The next phases of restaurants are expected to open there later this year. “The project is intended to serve as the premiere hospitality building within the Cannon Beach development, providing a refined architectural identity that complements the energy of the site while maintaining a timeless and elevated aesthetic,” the proposal said.
