First luxury hotel with spa in downtown Phoenix prepares to open Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on August 21, 2026 The Denū Hotel & Spa, the first luxury hotel in downtown Phoenix with a full-service spa, is preparing to open in September and already has a notable book of group business. Set to debut on Sept. 16, the 236-room hotel is located at 1 E. Adams Street in downtown Phoenix in a newly constructed 17-story building. Pronounced “DEH-noo”, the word has roots in Old English and translates to “valley” as a nod to the region’s nickname, Valley of the Sun. While Denū has significantly fewer rooms and less meeting space than some of its neighboring hospitality properties like the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel or the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Denū’s general manager, Linda Ding, told the Business Journal that it is actively marketing itself for business groups and travel and she thinks Denū’s unique offerings will make it a major competitor in the Valley’s expanding hotel market. So far, Denū has inked deals for business groups from the legal, automotive, sports and banking and finance industries for stays and events in the fall. “We’re definitely encompassing any and all businesses,” Ding said. “Because of the size of our hotel and the meeting spaces, it almost feels like you can have a buyout without a buyout. Groups can get their own intimate space and privacy here.” The hotel offers 22,250 square feet of event space across 18 unique indoor and outdoor venues. Its main ballroom is just over 4,000 square feet, with another ballroom, multiple breakout rooms and several outdoor patios and terraces. Denū’s other amenities, including its rooftop pool, roof-top bar (Nidos Rooftop Bar) and ground-floor full-service restaurant (Sartén Kitchen & Bar) will be able to be used for meetings, celebrations and other private events. The other aspect that sets Denū apart from downtown Phoenix hotels – the full-service Solstone Holistic Spa – has already been driving a lot of business and attention to the property, Ding said. “We offer resort-style service to downtown Phoenix. We are the only spa. We have turndown service. We have bottles of wine in every room when guests check in,” Ding said. “We’re definitely competing with resorts.” Find Complete Article Here: https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2026/08/20/denu-hotel-spa-prepares-open-downtown-phoenix.html
