George Oliver lands first tenants as it wraps up $75M renovations at Old Town Scottsdale office redevelopment Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on March 30, 2026 George Oliver Cos. has found its first tenants for Arbor Old Town — the Old Town Scottsdale office redevelopment that is the firm’s most ambitious project to date. Symmetry Software, a subsidiary of Gusto, signed a 32,480-square-foot lease at the office campus. The Scottsdale-based software company that operates a payroll technology platform will move its headquarters from its current north Scottsdale office at 14350 N. 87th Street to the new location. A “notable” financial technology platform also signed a 15,197-square-foot lease; however, George Oliver has not publicly named it yet. The announcement comes about eight months after George Oliver — in a joint venture with Denver-based private equity firm Ascentris — began $75 million renovations on Arbor Old Town, a nearly 350,000 square-foot office campus on the northeast intersection of Indian School and North Scottsdale roads. George Oliver’s joint venture purchased three separate buildings in 2024 totaling $76 million. The prime six-acre block of Old Town Scottsdale represented a “once in a generation opportunity,” George Oliver partner Charles Jerkovich told the Business Journal in late 2024: 7272 E. Indian School Road: The 165,220-square-foot building was acquired for $42.25 million. 4167 N. Scottsdale Road: The former Wells Fargo Bank building was acquired for $8 million. 4141 N. Scottsdale Road: The 162,227-square-foot building was acquired for $26.05 million. Both new tenants are expected to move into Arbor Old Town later this year as the project anticipates completion in the third quarter. “This move reflects our commitment to our team, providing an inspiring home that matches the creative and forward-thinking culture we continue to build together,” said Symmetry Software CEO Elizabeth Oviedo in a statement. Once completed, Arbor Old Town will become George Oliver’s largest renovation project yet. It will join a group of premier redevelopment projects for George Oliver, including Camelback Corridor’s Bond, a Class A, three-story, 287,000-square-foot office building; and Arbor in downtown Tempe. George Oliver also starts work on spec office suites Separately from its latest leases, George Oliver has also started construction on 17 speculative office suites at the 4141 and 7272 buildings, it said in a March announcement. Suites at the 7272 building will be completed in May, with additional suites completed in phases at the 4141 building. These suites will range in size from 1,602 to 10,146 square feet, with the possibility of combining for a larger space. As for other future tenants, the company is seeing a “strong demand” from technology companies and interest from financial and professional services, real estate and healthcare users. “We’re not targeting a single user type,” said Curt Kremer, George Oliver’s founder and managing partner, in an email to the Business Journal. “In an ideal scenario, Arbor Old Town will have a diverse mix of tenants that create synergy across the campus.” Find Complete Article Here: https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2026/03/27/old-town-scottsdale-redevelopment-arbor-old-town.html
