Hines acquires site for apartments at The Trailhead in Peoria

Multifamily developer Hines purchased 14.6 acres in Peoria for a 336-unit apartment community. The project is located within The Trailhead, a mixed-use master-planed development at 83rd Ave. and Happy Valley Road.

“This multifamily property will not only elevate the community with a distinctive luxury living experience but also meet growing demand for high-quality housing in the Happy Valley Corridor,” Chris Anderson, senior managing director at Hines, said in a press release. “We anticipate strong interest from residents seeking comfort, style and convenience in a thoughtfully designed setting that promotes connection and modern living.”

The community will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with luxury finishes and high-end appliances. Resident amenities will include a clubhouse, fitness center, interactive playground, pool and Pilates rooms.

Hines will break ground early next year. Leasing will start in 2027.

The Trailhead is also home to a Safeway, restaurants, a nondenominational worship center and a community garden.
