Along the Phoenix-Scottsdale city border, a two-story strip mall will make way for a proposed seven-story luxury apartment complex in Paradise Valley Village.

The Residences at Scottsdale Crossing, the name of the proposed multifamily luxury project, will feature 315 dwelling units with a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms. The seven-story project is located along East Bell Road near the Southwest corner of North Scottsdale Road and Bell Road.

Fifield Cos., a Chicago-based firm, is the developer behind the proposed complex on 4.33 acres at 7077 E. Bell Rd. If approved by Phoenix City Council, the two-story strip center currently on the proposed site will be razed.

“We feel that North Scottsdale, and more specifically, Kierland, is the most dynamic submarket within Phoenix, from a live, work and play perspective,” said Justin Westfall, Fifield’s head of acquisitions and senior vice president, of the submarket. “Scottsdale Air Park …. [has] the most exciting existing living environments.”
