Prime industrial property available near TSMC as Arizona Republic relocates printing Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on July 28, 2025 The Arizona Republic’s plans to shift its printing operations out of Phoenix and to Las Vegas later this year will leave a 300,000-square-foot facility in the hot Deer Valley submarket open for other uses. The Republic announced this week that it would lay off 117 employees at its Deer Valley printing facility at 22600 N. 19th Avenue, which it had owned since 1987 before selling the building in 2023. After the final locally printed edition is produced on Oct. 5, the newspaper will be printed and packaged in Las Vegas under a joint-publishing agreement. Maricopa County records show the facility was sold for $38 million by the newspaper’s parent company Gannett Media Corp. in June 2023, with the Republic saying at the time that the sale included a lease-back agreement that allowed it to continue operating there.
