Scottsdale firm closes on Mesa land, to build industrial project Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on April 4, 2025 Chris Walton, the CEO of ATLAS Capital Partners LLC, is taking a “contrarian” position with his company’s latest acquisition and planned Mesa Industrial project. The Scottsdale-based real estate development and investment firm closed March 27 on the $13.8 million acquisition of a 38-acre property near the intersection of Signal Butte and Warner Roads, according to Maricopa County records. ATLAS is planning to develop a flexible industrial project at the site called Atlas Exchange, Walton confirmed April 3. The seller was DMB Mesa Proving Grounds LLC, an entity that traces to Brookfield Residential. JLL’s Pat Harlan and Steve Larsen will serve as the project’s leasing brokers. The two served as the representation of the buyer and sellers during the sale acquisition of the proposed project’s site.
