Supermarket chain Seafood City hiring more than 100 for first Arizona location Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on June 12, 2026 The Valley’s first Seafood City Supermarket is set to open later this summer at Chandler Fashion Center. The Filipino supermarket chain will be opening in a 65,000-square-foot space on the southwest side of the mall, in the former Sears space. The plan is to open in mid-July, and the company has started its hiring process. Seafood City said it is looking for more than 100 employees for its first Arizona location. It is not just hiring workers for the flagship grocery part of the store, but also in Seafood City’s expanded food hall that will be part of the location. There are open positions in the administration, seafood, meat, produce, front end, grocery and restaurant departments. The grocer has a hiring booth set up in the food court of Chandler Fashion Center, which is located at 3111 W. Chandler Blvd. The booth is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Seafood City will have seven different concepts in its food hall, including its Filipino barbecue concept called Grill City; a bakery called Bakers Avenue; Sizzle, a sisig eatery; Slurp Alley, a Filipino-inspired noodle and hotpot destination; Kakanin Corner, which serves traditional Filipino rice cakes and delicacies; Crispy Town, serving hot and crispy Filipino food; and a brand-new Crab Market concept.
