Taiwan-based Highlight Tech Corp. announced it’s expanding to the U.S. with a new headquarters in Phoenix.

A Taiwan-based semiconductor component manufacturer is expanding to the U.S. and opening a new headquarters in Phoenix.

Highlight Tech Corp., which makes specialty process components and vacuum systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, is planning to open HTC-America in the Valley based on marked demand for “new fab development and expansion as part of the CHIPS Act,” the company said in a release Monday.

“We plan on utilizing our decades of experience to deliver highly efficient, sustainable systems and services for critical semiconductor processes, resulting in higher productivity, reliability and uptime for our North American customers,” C.S. Kou, CEO of HTC, said in a statement. “Establishing HTC-America is part of our long-term strategic growth plan to provide customized semiconductor fab and sub-fab equipment and services solutions to existing and new fabs in the United States.”

HTC was not immediately available for comment on additional details surrounding its U.S. expansion, including potential job creation and location of its Phoenix headquarters.

HTC-America will operate as a subsidiary of the Taiwan-based company, focusing on sales and service of fab and sub-fab components, electro-mechanical systems and parts.
