Phoenix-based Vestar, the owner and operator of the mall, located at Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Drive, announced five new tenants, leasing a total of 25,000 square feet in the shopping center. Carhartt, a workwear and outdoor apparel brand opened this summer at Tempe Marketplace, the retailer’s first standalone location in Arizona. “The addition of these nationally recognized brands reinforces Tempe Marketplace’s role as a destination where shoppers can discover the latest in fashion, outdoor, and lifestyle experiences,” Taylor Alvey, vice president of leasing at Vestar, said in a statement. “We’re proud to continue curating a dynamic, high-quality mix of brands that elevates the shopping experience and reinforces Tempe Marketplace as a premier retail destination in the Valley.” The new retailers opening this year include: KUIU: A performance outdoor and hunting brand known for its apparel and outdoor gear. The brand is moving beyond direct-to-consumer sales and opening its first retail location in Arizona in the third quarter of 2026. Coach: The luxury fashion brand known for leather goods, bags and purses, footwear and accessories will open a 4,500-square-foot space in late 2026. Tommy Hilfiger: The premium brand will open a 6,000-square-foot space in late 2026 offering men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and seasonal collections. Glo Tanning: A tanning spa offering UV tanning, spray tans, red light therapy wellness services and skincare will open in late 2026.
