What’s that new apartment-commercial complex going up in Scottsdale?

Location: 7000 E. Shea Blvd., on the northern block between 70th Street and 71st Place, in Scottsdale.

Description: Construction of the large mixed-use development called Cosanti Commons is in full swing.

High Street Residential, a commercial real estate developer, is leading the project that will include nearly 200 apartments in a three-story building and 79,200 square feet of commercial space.

When complete, the roughly 9-acre complex will sit beside other retail properties that comprise Block 7000.

Inside the apartment building, High Street will offer studios and one- and two-bedroom units, ranging from 616 to 1,300 square feet.

Each unit will feature “luxury finishes and superior amenities,” the developer boasted. That includes premium cabinets, expansive kitchen islands with quartz countertops, wine fridges, tile backsplashes and stainless-steel appliances.

There will also be shared amenities for tenants, such as a resort-style pool and spa, open-air courtyards, a fitness center, a co-working lounge, and a pet spa and dog park.

History: In December 2024, Scottsdale leaders unanimously approved High Street’s request to rezone the property, paving the developer’s path to proceed with the project.

Scottsdale’s Development Review Board unanimously approved the project’s design and site plans in May 2025.

High Street started construction later that year.

When will the work be done? High Street expects the apartment side of the project to open by the first quarter of 2027. It did not have a timeline for the commercial aspect.
