Common Bond Development completes Eastmarket at Eastmark as Sprouts prepares to open Article originally posted on Phoenix Business Journal on September 10, 2026 Sprouts Farmers Market and several other restaurants and customer-facing businesses are preparing to open in a recently completed shopping center in Mesa. Eastmarket at Eastmark, a 6.6-acre lifestyle center at the northeast corner of Ray and Ellsworth roads in east Mesa, was developed by Phoenix-based Common Bond Development Group, the firm behind the Global Ambassador Hotel, Park at 83 in Peoria and several neighborhood shopping centers around the Valley. Sprouts announced it will be opening a brand-new 23,299-square-foot store on Sept. 18. This marks the most recent opening for Sprouts, which has added several stores to its Valley footprint already this summer. Eastmarket has also been able to fill out more than 25,000 square feet of retail space with a mix of restaurants, health and wellness providers and personal care and services tenants. Tenants at Eastmark include First Watch, Qdoba, SoFresh, Petersen’s Ice Cream, Pacific Dental Services, GoodVets, Zara Nails, Lapels Dry Cleaning and PNC Bank. “Our strong leasing efforts alongside the opening of Sprouts Farmers Market marks the full realization of our vision for Eastmarket at Eastmark,” said Brian Frakes, the founder and president of Common Bond Development Group. “Our goal from day one was to deliver a complete, high-performing commercial hub tailored to the Eastmark community.” The new Sprouts and all the other regional and national tenants at Eastmarket are expected to drive daily traffic to the center, adding long-term value to the project, Frakes said. Eastmarket at Eastmark was designed by PHNX Design and Suite 6 Architecture + Planning. Construction on the project was done by A.R. Mays Construction.
