These West Valley projects bring housing, dining and an industrial campus

Nashville-style chicken, another apartment complex, and a massive industrial complex are under construction in the West Valley.

A Dave’s Hot Chicken is under construction in the area of Avondale that borders west Phoenix. The restaurant chain currently has locations in Phoenix, Goodyear, Gilbert and Chandler.

Marbella Ranch East, a 144-unit apartment complex, is under construction a few miles east of Luke Air Force Base.

Construction will soon start on the Avondale Tech Center, a 700,000-square-foot campus. The campus is targeting a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical development and defense contracting.

Nashville-style chicken coming to Avondale

California-based restaurant chain Dave’s Hot Chicken is coming to the cusp of west Phoenix and Avondale near Harkins Estrella Falls.

The restaurant serves a variety of chicken products at different spice levels along with sides such as Buffalo mac and cheese, loaded fries, and cauliflower options.

Dave’s is adding another location in metro Phoenix.

It is unknown when construction will be done on the Dave’s Hot Chicken.

Apartment complex near Luke Air Force Base

Construction on a 144-unit apartment complex is underway by Luke Air Force Base.

Marbella Ranch East’s units will be spread across four buildings, and each building will have 36 units.

Construction of the apartments is expected to finish in spring 2027, according to Big-D Construction.

A 700,000-square-foot tech center in Avondale

A 700,00-square-foot industrial campus will be under construction in the southwest Valley. The campus will be near homes and apartments.

The three buildings at Avondale Tech Center will “serve advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven enterprises,” according to a news release from developer Creation, which purchased the vacant land.

The targeted industries include pharmaceutical development, aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, and defense contracting, according to the release.

Outdoor amenities, including dedicated gathering areas and shared pickleball courts, are also planned for the campus, according to the news release.

Construction was expected to begin in summer 2026.
